Week 10
~ Feeling Good but Failing Tests

Overall I am feeling pretty good. Been having a lot of cramping but I guess it is really just a lot of stretching to accommodate this little human growing.

Since I had Gestational Diabetes with my last daughter my doctor wanted me to get a test done early to establish a base line and low and behold I failed it. A few months back when my doctor checked my blood sugar it was 84 and exactly one week later it was 85 . . . this last time it was 154. Can Gestational Diabetes kick in this early? So I get to find the time to go and do the 3 hour test. Something about sitting at the lab for 3 hours does not sound appealing to me but I will drag Cal along with me.

I guess I also failed the thyroid portion of my test; it has been borderline for a while but I guess it has plummeted. That being said tomorrow I get to go see the Endocrinologist. Crazy--I am not use to having all this stuff going on, but I am sure it will all be fine.

Who knew they can now tell a baby's gender at 14 weeks with 4D ultrasound. With all four of my previous pregnancies we have went to the same place to get our ultrasound done. We get a 20 minute video and a ton of ultrasound pictures. Needless to say I have signed up to go when I am 14 weeks and 2 days. I just had to allow those two extra days . . . LOL . . . I am excited but nervous, we go on 6/21.

Cianna keeps asking how much longer until the baby comes. For her it is going to be a long 26 weeks or so . . . The older girls are just concerned because I may be too pregnant to go Black Friday shopping this year. As much as I enjoy it I am sure I will find a way. I am assuming a lot of it may be over the internet this year.

Well I hope you are all having a fabulous day and enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend.

Love,
Jennifer
