So my journal entry may be a tad too much information for some but the way I see it is if someone else reads this that is going through the same and I can put their mind at ease then fantastic . . .
So yesterday I took a nap and was awakened by the urge to tinkle. I went to tinkle and when I wiped yet again there was brown mucus like stuff. This happened earlier in my pregnancy but it was a lot less and not nearly as dark. Of course my mind starts thinking the worst, I rush into the living room to tell my husband. He acts as if I am crazy for worrying . . .
Every time I went to the restroom for the remainder of the day I had the same problem. I tried not to panic, but I did.
I woke up this morning to go and have my 3 hour glucose screening done. Before leaving I went to the restroom and there was quite a bit of the brown mucus yet again. I wanted to be to the lab by 7 so I could get in and out relatively early. On my way to the lab I called my OB's office and left a message explaining what was going on and asked if I could come in to be checked if for nothing else reassurance. A nurse called me back within an hour and a half and told me I could come in at 11:20. Timing was perfect because I was set to finish my glucose test at 10:34.
We left the lab and went to go grab some food since I had yet to have anything to eat or drink. We arrived at the doctor's office right at 11:20 and were called in the back shortly after. I saw the Nurse Practitioner. She decided to do a pelvic to make sure everything looked and felt normal . . . OUCH!! She said my cervix was sealed up perfectly and called for the ultrasound machine. As soon as she pulled the ultrasound up you could see the baby moving all over the place. She said everything looks great. She said she can't explain why I continue to have this dried blood drainage but she is not too concerned. She said the baby looks great and told me to try not and stress about it. Easier said than done.
I get the whole thing of each kid is different, each pregnancy is different . . . but I mean come on . . . I have been pregnant four times and this has NEVER happened before. So for anyone else going through this I guess it is nothing to worry about, just get lots of rest and try not to stress.
