Does it Get Easier?

I am sure you are all wondering about my title, well this has been a very trying month. We got completely settled into our new house and we are loving every minute of it. There have been a lot of rough patches along the way.

First, I received a letter where Reygen's biological father is taking me to court to suspend all child support payments, which he is not paying in the first place. Second my mother-in-law went to the hospital with chest pains. While we were waiting for the diagnosis, our nephew called us who was watching Reygen, and three of our brand new windows were leaking. Third my dog ate 10 of our dvd's because she was mad at us for moving. Fourth, Sarah called and and had to be transported to the ER for shortness of breath and chest pains. Finally, the babysitter called and Albrey was running a 103 temp. All of this in one day, and I was a crazy person.

Chris' mom had stints put in, Sarah has pulled chest muscles, we had the windows fixed, the dog I sent to my brother's so she can run and play (no fenced yard right now), and Albrey got another trip to the ER at 5:00 am. She had a stomach virus, vomiting and the start of a seizure. At the ER they gave her 190 cc of fluid and her fever finally broke six days later.

Also we had Reygen's birthday party this past Saturday; she turned the big 10. My how time flies. It seems like I just brought her home from the hospital. She is getting so big and I know before too long she will be 16.

AlbreyAlso on Saturday, my brother's daughter left and it was a very sad day; we all cried. I guess this was an emotional weekend altogether. Reygen shares the same birthday as my grandmother that just passed away so it was bittersweet.

I think we have come to the conclusion that we have moved into the money pit. We just discovered that the tub also leaks, so we will have to get a new bathroom. Can I ever get a break? Albrey would not let anyone hold her but me, so I could not get anything done, not to mention I am going back to school two nights a week to get my CNA license so I can pick up some part-time work. On top of that, I am a 4-H leader for the steer club. I have been a busy, stressed little bee!

I hope everyone is having a great summer. Our summer ends next week!

Take care until next month,
~ Kari
