Week 35
~ Lagniappe
After our last child birthing class last week, we discovered that we had to purchase another infant car seat since the manufacturing date on the one we got at our neighbor's garage sale was ten years old. We found a travel system at Amazon that had everything we wanted even though it was a bit pricey. The travel system arrived early this past week and we put it together. It's very easy to install. It has the LATCH system recommended by NHTSA. The carrier snaps in and out of both the stroller and car seat base very easily, which is good from someone mechanically challenged like myself. The stroller is easy to fold and unfold as well. Overall, I'm very happy with our purchase.
The Braxton-Hicks contractions have increased a bit this week. They have a tendency to come more often if I work longer hours, which makes it difficult to drive home. Next week will be my last week of driving into work. Jeff will take me in the last couple of weeks up until my delivery.
I woke up a few mornings ago noticing a space between my breasts and tummy. That definitely wasn't there the morning before. It was also noticeably easier to breathe. I think I might have dropped, but I am not 100% sure as I haven't felt as increase pressure in my pelvis. We have another doctor's appointment next week and I'll ask then.
My mother also arrives in a little over a week. She will be a big help getting the last minute things ready for Bump. Since I've been so tired coming home and have had to work a little bit longer most days, it will be nice being able to relax and not have to worry about cooking, cleaning, and getting things ready. We're in the last stretch and I'm getting more excited each day.
