~ Feeling the Pressure
Sinus pressure, that is. Yep, I've been getting sinus headaches. Nasty, migraine-like, hot poker through your eyeball, sinus headaches. And not being able to take anything stronger than tylenol has not been helping. Fortunately I think it's mostly related to the crazy weather changes we've been having (we've had snowflakes and t-shirt weather this week), so once the weather calms down a bit I'm hoping my headaches will too.
Aside from the headaches I'm feeling pretty good right now. Last week after my doctor's appointment I had two days of exhaustion, but I think it was because of my flu shot. Now my energy levels are pretty good (I'm still napping when Ella lets me, but otherwise I'm managing to get things done). We were pretty productive again this week - we finished tiling the kitchen backsplash, and, while the kitchen won't be completely done in time for the party on Saturday, it will be in pretty good shape. I've also almost finished Ella's Halloween costume, so it looks like all we have left to do this week for the party is clean the house and make some food. Yay!
Oh, and it looks like I forgot to report in last week on the whole "telling the family" thing. That's probably because it was kind of a non-event. Aaron's mom was a bit surprised, but no one else particularly was. They're all happy for us of course, but there just weren't any good reactions to relate.
I think that's about it for this week. It's been a pretty uneventful week. Ella is growing like a weed (she's already into the next shoe size - at this rate I don't know if she'll be able to wear her winter boots through the winter!) She also seems to have a new word every day. And she's become fascinated with babies - which is probably a good thing. I'm not sure if she understands, but she points at my belly and says "baby" and hugs it, and she also points at pictures of babies and says "baby." I just hope she's this friendly when the new baby actually arrives in the house.
Right, I think I'll sign off for now. Until next week,
