Oh my word, halfway through already! Time flies when you're having fun!
Brandon and I had our little getaway this weekend. It was so so so so wonderful and relaxing! We could drive without singing nursery rhymes all the way down, and we could just do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted - how delightful! It was so nice to be able to spend that amount of time just together. I think it is really important to make spending time a priority. Having said that, it was not easy to leave Levi! We left on the Saturday morning, and on the previous Thursday he fell off the couch and ended up with a nasty bruise, and a cut which needed a doctor's attention. It was all very stressful, especially for Levi, who woke about every 2 hours during the night, and was so exhausted the next day, he got a cold, which meant Friday night was also a bit of a disaster sleep-wise! We were so worried about leaving our poor boy overnight for the first time, but of course, he was just fine. He had a great time with Grandma, and slept like an angel apparently. Hallelujah!
The pregnancy has been going great. I had a midwife appointment yesterday, and everything seems to be rolling along nicely. She thinks baby is quite large, considering how big my uterus is already. I knew I was bigger this time! I have been looking at photos, and it seems to me I am about the same size I was when I was about 27 weeks last time. Oh dear! Having said that though, I weighed myself yesterday (a very rare occurrence!) and I have only put on 2kg in the last 3 months, which I don't think is actually too bad. What a pity it looks like I have put on much more! Hopefully I will be able to keep the weight from piling on ridiculously in the last stretch. We'll see.
We brought a second hand double stroller this week also. So I'm super excited about being able to take the two kiddies out for walks and runs (which should also help if I do end up with a bit more maternal fat than necessary!)
Until next week!
