Week 27
~ Baby's First Fight!

This is it! This is the last week of the second trimester. I am under three months from having the baby!! I am hot. It is snowing outside and I am hot and sweating!! I have never had a baby in the winter time. I like this. I hate the cold winters; I am the California desert girl freezing to death in my new home town. That is not happening this year! I think I have worn a coat once!!! Go pregnancy hot flashes!!

A funny thing that happened this week was the baby kicked his big sister. Sydney, 2, was sitting on my lap, not that there is much room there anymore. She was pushing her back to get comfy on my tummy and the baby kicked her back. She looked at me not understanding what was going on. She had the funniest look on her face!! What in the world was that. I tried to explain but she just didn't understand. It was fun. I worry how she and the baby will do together.

Sydney is our youngest child. She is very determined and expects to get what she wants when she wants it. She has had hearing problems and that has been fixed and now she is in speech therapy to catch her up on her speech. She is very smart but because she can't express to you her desires she often gets upset and tantrums give her what she wants (especially with her older brothers). We have never had kids this close together and I am nervous. All our other kids were potty trained and over three when their siblings were born. I could explain a lot more to them. But Sydney won't even be two and half. I know that is normal with some but not with us. I have got to come up with ideas to feel she is included and still important. I want her to love the baby. For Christmas we bought her a stroller and a doll and bed. Hopefully these things will help.

Well next week I am on the downward slope!!! Body gets bigger and less comfortable but a baby is only a few short months away!
