Well things are going pretty good. Monte got the internet working again after I unplugged it in my nesting phase of getting the baby's room done. We turned our office into the new baby's room and I wanted it painted and thought it was no big deal to just unplug the computer. Well that led to no internet connection. Lucky in an old life Monte was a computer guy!!!
So this week I went to the doctor's office and I am dilated to a three. This is good news and bad. I am not ready for the baby to come yet. My mom comes in a couple of weeks. I know you can be at three for quite awhile; we will just start playing the waiting game. I have only been a three this early once and it was with Kaitlyn and she was my only baby born a few weeks early. So Monte made me pack the hospital bag and put the car seat in the car just in case.
I like the idea of being all ready and then it is okay to wait around for a while. My mother-in-law is going to be here this week. She is early duty in case the baby is early and to help me with the kids and the house in the weeks before the baby. I do get tired really easily and I have Braxton Hixs all the time!! So it will be wonderful to have help before the baby is here also. So as I said it looks like things are coming together.
I only have one major concern this week. Maybe you can help. I am supposed to have my tubes tied after the baby comes. I was all for it but now I am a little nervous. I am okay with the fact that I don't want to have any more children. But I guess I need to talk to my midwife and find out more about what is involved. I don't want to leave my baby right after he is born to have surgery. I have never had surgery so that is nerve wracking. My other concern is I don't really want an epidural but I will have to have one for the tube tying. The last baby I had an epidural with made the labor longer. I don't know what to do. I guess there are just so many unknowns. That is going to be my topic of discussion with my midwife this week. I will let you know what I find out next week.
