I love the Christmas season! It's a time for family and friends and remembering the greatest gift that we all have ever received. But when you are trying to get out of debt, it is one of the most stressful times of the year as well.
Three kids to buy presents for is no joke, I am sure, even when you are not in debt. It has probably put most people in debt and I know that is usually puts our family even more in debt most years.
So, we have devised a plan of attack for our 2014 taxes. We are going to put back money. Money for each kids birthday and Christmas 2015. We have close friends who are so close to being debt free that do this every year and I am so glad for many reasons that I met them, but this is one of the smartest things that I have ever heard of. Such a great way to set boundaries for spending and have a plan in mind so things do not get the best of you when the time comes.
So, from this journal on, my entries are most likely going to be about getting out of debt and "living like no one else, so we can live like no one else" (thank you Mr. Ramsey) someday.
I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful holiday season and look forward to sharing with you in 2015!!
Until next time . . .
