Week 24
~ Mamma Mia

This week, my Mom has come to stay with me while Kyle is working up in Kentucky. It has been really nice having her there when I wake up in the morning and when I get home at night. She has been washing clothes, cooking dinners and putting up with our dogs all week, and that has been great too. The boys are keeping her entertained with their hairy antics and she has gotten to relax and catch up on some reading.

Kyle has looked at several apartments this week, and there has been something unsavory about each one. What should I expect with a husband who is well trained as a technical guy? He has a very good eye and has said many times, that he does not want his infant crawling around in a smelly apartment, or on yucky looking carpet. I don't want that either, but I am getting a little concerned that we won't find a place quickly enough. No one wants to rent to someone with two dogs, but what they don't realize is, our two dogs are inside dogs, who are potty trained and are cleaner than a lot of people that we know! He is looking at a couple more tonight, so maybe something will look better in our price range.

The house is officially on the market now, which is great, but our realtor, sadly, I am worried about. When I looked at the first picture displayed, it was horrible, so I asked if I could send her another one. So last night when I checked it, the display picture was of the back of our house, which is pretty unremarkable looking. What is wrong with people? No one will be attracted to the back of a house! That would make me think that the front is horrible looking, which it is not.

In good news, a lady stopped by the house last night and I let her walk around to look at the back yard, which finally has grass growing in it. After almost 2 years at the house, we finally have some grass in our back yard! And it is of course, right before we have to leave the place when the grass starts growing like mad. But it was good to know that there are people out there looking for houses in a bad market, and she seemed like she would really enjoy living there and benefit from the closeness to the school where her sons will go in the fall. I would love for that to work out so the whole rent and mortgage thing would not be so hard to deal with. I would say that after spending a few months of quality time with the baby, I will need to at least find a part time job to help us out until we sell the house. Keep your fingers crossed that something will happen quickly in regard to selling our house.

After I ate supper the other night, I felt something, so I put my hand on my stomach and just left it there for a little while. I felt my baby moving from the outside for the first time! It was so weird and neat! I told Mom to give me her hand and she felt her too. I am so glad that she seems to be doing okay in there. I cannot wait to see her sweet face and post it on here for everyone to see!

My father, two sisters, nieces and nephews are coming down to go be at our 3d ultrasound with us this weekend. It will be a full house but we are all looking forward to a really fun day on Saturday. Then Kyle will be off Monday for the holiday and then leave again on Tuesday. I will have my next doctor's appointment that day and get to ask if they can make sure and do my diabetic testing and next appointment within the frame of my insurance terminating near the end of June. Hectic, hectic, but all for a good cause!

Until next week . . . take care!
