Week 23
~ Not the Kind of Pink I Wanted

I know you're sick of hearing it. And I promise I'm not going to whine about it. But really, enough is enough.

My youngest came home with pink eye this week. I have to admit he's done an excellent job with eye drops. After the trauma of ear drops, I figured we were in for it, but apparently, eye drops are "fun." Strange, but I'll take it because it means that he never puts up a fight and actually asks if it's time to do them again. Hopefully Grayson, Ken, or I don't get it. That's all I'm going to say about that!

Four day weekend for the kids this weekend, and a three day weekend for me. In theory, it sounds really good. In reality, it means scrambling to find someone to watch the kids on Friday after Ken leaves for work. He's on seconds, which means I just need someone for a couple hours in the afternoon. I think they are both going to T's best buddy's house to play until I can get home. That's one thing about my kids. They are in the first grade and the fifth grade, but when they have their friends around, they are pretty good about including each other. T is as likely to ask if he can have one of G's friends over as one of his own. It's kind of funny.

Things are good as far as the baby goes. We are working on a name, and I think we have it narrowed down to two. We will see though. There is still a lot of time to change our minds. My next doctor's appointment is next Thursday. Because my placenta is anterior, if we want to do the 4d ultrasound, we need to schedule it for around 28 weeks. The ultrasound tech said that will still give him room to move around, and they'll still be able to get some good pictures, hopefully. At my last ultrasound, he kept smooshing his face into the placenta, and she had to work to get some good face pictures. My husband and my mom both want me to have the 4d done, my mom to the point that she's offered to help pay for it. Since there is nothing diagnostic about it, it's completely self-pay, which I don't have a problem with. And it's really not all that expensive. I'm just not sure I want to do something that isn't necessary. I know a lot of people do, and I don't have a problem with that at all, but I'm not sure I want to. I guess I have a week to decide! They will do them through 32 weeks, so I guess I can always change my mind later and hope that he cooperates if I do. Lol.

My little sister's baby shower was Sunday, and that was a good time. She got soooooo much stuff! I don't know where she's going to put it all. I know that she was thankful for every bit of it, though. She's 37 weeks now, and it's crazy to think of her being full term. I swear she just called me yesterday, sobbing, asking me to get there quick! It's funny how everyone else's pregnancies go so fast compared to our own. I really can't complain, however. This one really is flying by for me!

Have a great week, everyone!
