Week 9
~ Thanksgiving

Well, this week found the nausea to be a bit better. And just in time for Thanksgiving, too! I was relieved. I was afraid I was going to miss out on my stepmom's amazing sweet potato casserole and homemade noodles. Luckily we had lunch at their house, and I was good. I wasn't so great by evening, but by then I'd had what I wanted! I did miss out on the trip to my sister's in Atlanta this year, but I decided I didn't want to spend 8 hours in the car. It ended up being a good plan, because we also ended up in the ER with my youngest Wednesday morning. We knew it was an ear infection, but what else do you do when your doctor is already out the office for the holiday? So instead of an office copay, we will have an ER copay charge. Oh well. We got him on antibiotics and his ear stopped hurting fairly quickly. His croup has been a different story, however. I've never heard a kid cough the way he's been coughing. I feel so sorry for him.

The other excitement for the week was the Thompson Square concert! My best friend and I are huge music fans, and we spend a lot of time dragging our husbands to concerts. In the last year, we've seen Phil Vassar (my fav!), Darius Rucker, Toby Keith, Eric Church, Hunter Hayes, Sugarland, and Thompson Square. We missed Jason Aldean and Eric Church because we had lawn tickets and it was pouring down rain. We were at the Sugarland concert at the Indiana State Fair when the stage collapsed, and then we had Lady A tickets for the state fair, and it was cancelled due to the Sugarland concert. We got refunds for those, and then went to the Sugarland memorial concert at the end of October. But back to Thomspon Square - they were phenomenal!! My husband even really enjoyed them, and he mostly tags along to make me happy. It was a small show and we had a table at the stage. It was a really fun evening! We were already talking about seeing them again as we were leaving. Well, on the drive home, we bought tickets for Lady A and Darius Rucker in February. Come to find out, Thompson Square is opening for them! I was so excited. I can't wait for that one. I'm thinking Lee Brice at the end of December and Easton Corbin in March, but we will see.

Sorry there's no news on the baby front. There just really isn't a whole lot going on. I'm definitely gaining weight, but I do tend to gain early then slow down. We are mostly just playing a waiting game right now. Waiting for my next appointment. Waiting to look pregnant instead of like I'm just gaining weight. I'm also waiting to get these next three weeks of school done. I haven't graded the term papers and I haven't started writing finals. Maybe instead of waiting, I should get busy!!
