~ Meet Kristina
Hello! My name is Kristina and I am 24 years old. I am a full-time student, working woman, and most importantly a full-time wife and mommy! I am married to a great man, Brandon, and together we have a son, Kaydon, born September 12, 2008. He is our pride and joy and I thank God every day for blessing us with such a miracle.
I currently work full-time as a Lighting Coordinator. I hope to become a teacher, once I graduate this coming year! Well honestly, I would LOVE to become a stay-at-home mom, but that is something that may take a little while longer to work out financially. Only time will tell!
Brandon and I just recently moved in late April. We had a house built and absolutely love it! We hope to make this our "forever home" to raise Kaydon and hopefully a couple of other little bundles of joy as well.
Right before we moved, we decided it was time to try and expand our family. I got off the pill right before we moved and everything seemed "normal" the first month. I had a normal cycle and was even using OPKs to determine when I ovulated. We, unfortunately, did not conceive that month even though I had ovulated. I really did not think much of it because my doctor had told me to have a normal cycle off the pill before I really tried to conceive. Well since that first month, I have not ovulated. I went to my doctor after I had gone 40 something days without ovulating or starting my period. After being checked out, he determined that everything was normal and perhaps the pill had just caused my cycle to get off track. I took Provera to start my period in the hopes that my cycle would get back on track. Well here we are again and it has been over 40 days and still no sign of ovulation or my period.
As of right now, I am talking to my doctor about starting Clomid. This is all new territory for me because with my son, I conceived right away. Let's just say that Kaydon was not necessarily a planned pregnancy, but I would not trade him for anything in the world! So I am a little unsure of our options at this point or which direction to take. I honestly thought that I would conceive right away, as I did with Kaydon. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. I would love to hear from other mom's who have experienced this in the past.
I cannot wait to share my trying to conceive journey with you all and hopefully sooner rather than later, my pregnancy journal. I became addicted to the StorkNet Journals during my pregnancy with Kaydon and have not stopped reading them since. I love this website and all the information that is available. Thank you for following my trying to conceive journey and wish us luck and Baby Dust!
