Weeks 10 & 11 ~ December 4, 2010
~ Turkey and . . . Goldfish?!?!
I want to start off by apologizing for my late journal entry. With the Thanksgiving holiday, my last two weeks have been crazy busy.
Week 10 started off with Brandon coming back home from his business trip. Kaydon and I were so excited to see him. I have to admit that when he goes on business trips for about three days, it can be a nice little break for us. I enjoy my time with just Kaydon and being able to just watch whatever we want and hang out. Sometimes I will leave Kaydon at my in-laws house one night and just have the whole night to myself; now that is really nice. I do enjoy my alone time, SOMETIMES. But with Brandon being gone a whole week, it really threw a wrench in everything. I did not realize how much I would miss him. So needless to say, we were both glad he is home. Unfortunately he will be going out of town again; thankfully it is only three days this time.
I also experienced a lot more nausea and overall sick feeling this week. In fact, some days the only food I could force myself to eat was Goldfish. I felt like such a kid and Brandon would get mad that was all I was eating. He kept telling me, "You need to eat something besides goldfish. You can't just live off of goldfish." But I literally could not eat anything else. The thought of anything else would make me sick. So hopefully this sick nauseous feeling does not continue.
Week 11 started on Thanksgiving Day. We had a great day. I just love having off work and spending time with family and friends. We went to Brandon's parents' house for Thanksgiving Day and my dad came over as well. My parents are divorced and it is easier to split holidays instead of trying to get everyone together. It is less awkward for everyone. We always have way too much food for too little people. There were nine of us there including Kaydon. Being only children usually makes for pretty small family holidays and get togethers. But it is always nice nonetheless. Of course we watched football after we ate and just hung out the rest of the day. I left that night to go spend the night at my mom's so we could wake up early and go shopping!
We woke up around 3 that Friday morning and got dressed quickly to head out and shop. Brandon stayed at his parents' house and he and his mom went shopping at 1:30 in the morning. (I am all about getting there early, but that is a little much even for me.) But they had a good time, I am sure. Kaydon even woke up around 3:30 that morning and was up the whole time we were shopping. He was such a trooper. Never cried or even got fussy. My dad does not think I should take him, but I do not really have any other choice if I want to go. I do not have anyone to watch him. My dad is partially disabled so he can not watch him by himself and Brandon's dad has to work that morning. So . . . Kaydon is a trooper and hits up the stores on Black Friday! I am not sure how it will work next year with 2 kids, but I am sure I will figure something out.
Week 11 in the pregnancy seemed to be fairly easy. I have not had as much nausea but it does hit quite often so I continue to carry goldfish with me to snack on. I buy the whole grain Goldfish so they are fairly healthy, I think. I still am not showing really at all and have not gained any weight. Sometimes it worries me because I feel like something is wrong but I know that everyone's pregnancy is different and I am just one that does not show too soon . . . Or it could be the fact that I am slightly overweight so there is just more padding for the baby to hide in!
I do go to the doctor next Wednesday, so I am pretty excited about that. Hopefully everything will be going right on track and I will have some good news to report.
Hopefully everyone has a great holiday season and had a great Thanksgiving! I hope everyone's pregnancy continue to grow happy and healthy! Baby dust to others!
Until next week . . .
