Weeks 30, 31, and 32
~ Moving Right Along

I swear, time just keeps moving right along. I cannot believe that I am already to this point in my pregnancy. Yet, at the same time I am starting to get a little freaked out at the fact that I feel so unprepared. I know that you really do not need much to bring a baby home, just a few outfits and car seat. Well a little more than that, but I am sure you all know what I mean. I think I just feel so unprepared this time around because by this point in my pregnancy with Kaydon, I was just sitting back and waiting for his arrival. This time around, I am just now starting to get things in order.

I am happy to announce that I have made significant progress on the nursery. I started going through all of Kaydon's old clothes and washing them all, as well as getting rid of some that were stained or just plain worn out. We even got all of the nursery furniture out of Kaydon's room and set it up in Colton's room. I started hanging up the clothes that I had gone through and boxed up a lot of Kaydon's old clothes that were either still hanging in his closet or lying around somewhere. This past weekend we ordered the bedding set for Colton's room and it came in last night! I washed it, but now it is just sitting in a nice folded pile in front of me. I hope to finish up the majority of his nursery within the next week or two.

I have also gotten a ton of information on breastfeeding and pumping. I really want to thank everyone for all the information you have given me. It does make me very optimistic about this time around and I really hope to make it to that one year mark with Colton. How awesome would it be to say that I never had to buy formula for him. Not only am would I be saving us a ton of money, but the health benefits are definitely worth it as well. So I hope that everything works out!

I also have some very exciting news to report about Kaydon. He is officially potty trained! I really cannot believe that he has done so well. I had my doubts that it would happen before he was 3, let alone before the baby arrived! I started putting his 'big boy undies' on him throughout the day instead of a diaper. After about a week, he started telling me when he had to go potty. But then I noticed that when I would put a diaper on him he would just go potty in there. Finally I told him one Sunday night that starting tomorrow, "we were not wearing diapers anymore" and he simply responded with "Ok, mommy!" The next day, I put his undies on him when he got up and we have not had a diaper on since. He had a few accidents that first week but none really since then. *Knock on wood!* He even wears his undies through the night as well. I am so proud of him and honestly myself because I thought we would never get to this point. Now I have about a two month break before it starts all over with Colton!

I have also had two doctor's appointments since I last updated. I am happy to say that I passed the glucose test. That is a relief. I passed with Kaydon, but I think I will get nervous every time I have to take that test for some reason. My iron levels did come back low so I have had to start taking an iron supplement once a day (when I can remember). I am not sure why I can never remember to take that pill, but hopefully I will get better. I have gained a total of about 11 pounds this entire pregnancy so far. I am happy with that number and feel as though I will, hopefully, be able to lose that and more once Colton arrives. And yes, I am sure I will gain some more weight between now and the end of my pregnancy. As long as I don't go overboard, any weight I gain will hopefully only be what I need to gain for a healthy pregnancy and baby! I go back in two weeks! I really cannot believe that I am already going every two weeks. It just goes to show how close I am to holding that little bundle of joy in my arms!

We had a great Easter. We really did not do much except go to Church and then just relaxed the rest of the day. Kaydon had a blast dyeing all the eggs. I hope everyone else had a great Easter as well!

That is about it for now! Hopefully I will be able to report a lot of progress on the nursery and prepping next week!

Until next week!
