Week 14
~ Spring Break

So, this week is spring break for my kiddos and myself. As I think I have mentioned before, I work at their school as an aide to a first grader. Anyway, we had the whole week off and it was wonderful. We didn't have anything in particular planned as my hubby still had to work. And, since we have just moved, I knew a lot of the time was going to be spent unpacking and getting the house settled back down.

I came to the realization this week however, that I am not as young as I used to be. I can remember being 14 weeks pregnant with Dylan and Kaylee and still doing pretty much my regular routine. I did already have a belly then, but I don't recall it slowing me down too much. This time I seem to get tired so much more easily. Just bending over to unpack things exhausted me. I seemed to have to rest frequently throughout the day as well. Perhaps since I am six years older, I am just feeling it more?

Also, I think I may have felt a couple little movements, but I am not 100% sure. Both times it was when I was sitting quietly at the computer not really paying attention to my stomach when I was all of the sudden get this strange little twinge. But it hasn't happened since, so I am not sure if that is what it was. Either way, I am hoping it won't be long now before I feel some distinct movement. I am very anxious to get to the point where Dylan and Kaylee can feel the baby. It will be fun to see how they react to that. They have two aunts that have had babies over the last year and a half, and they never got a chance to feel with either of them.

Other than that, things have been status quo. The morning sickness does appear to be gone-yeah! And I do have a bit more energy than I did in the first trimester, so I am happy about that. I have another ultrasound at 16 weeks, so I am hoping to be able to hear the heartbeat via Doppler at that appointment.

Until next time, hugs and belly rubs!
