Week 18
~ I Think There's a Baby in There

In my last entry I was questioning whether or not I thought I was feeling the baby move. I had those quick little pokes that happen so fast you aren't sure if you imagined it or if it did indeed happen. I am happy to say that I am for sure now feeling this little one wiggling in there. It's still not consistent or strong, but they are definately little pokes and prods. I usually notice it most when I have finished eating a meal and am just sitting, letting my food settle. I have to sit still and kind of concentrate or I miss them. Nonetheless, they are there and I am thrilled.

Of course, at this point since they are so "internal" no one but me can feel them and my kiddos are a bit disappointed by that. They too have been very anxious to feel this baby move. So, I am hoping that within the next few weeks that the kicks will get stronger and will be able to be felt from the outside.

Other than that, things have pretty much been status quo. I have another doctor's appointment coming up next week and one the week after. I suspect that my regular OB appointment will be relatively uneventful, but I am hoping he'll pull out the Doppler again so I can hear baby's heartbeat. I just love that sound. I have been feeling really well except for a nagging sinus issue that I just can't seem to get rid of. I don't want to go on meds, so I am hoping he can help me out with that.

My energy level is doing better as well. Now that I am feeling pretty good, I have more energy to do other things. I still can't stay up too late at night, but a least I don't feel like I am going to crash in the middle of the day.

Other than that, all is well.

Hugs and belly rubs . . . until next time!
