On the day I turned over to my 33rd week of this pregnancy, I felt this baby hiccup. I'm sure he's done it before now, but I just haven't felt it. I was sitting watching T.V. one night and he always is pretty active at night right before I go to bed. Well, as I was sitting there, I noticed this rhythmic feel in there and started to pay attention. Sure enough, I could tell he was hiccupping. He must have gone on for at least a few minutes too. I had to kind of smile to myself as it brought back memories of Kaylee when she was in my tummy.
I never really could feel her move. She was lying sideways with her feet towards Dylan. When she would kick, she would kick his back instead of me. I even had asked the doctor because I was concerned about not feeling her. So the only really distinct movement I felt with her was her hiccupping. However, I never felt Dylan hiccup at all. It is so strange to me to know there is a little person in there making all these funny movements.
At any rate, since that first time, I have felt it several other times as has Kaylee and my hubby. My hubby was actually lying (gently, of course) on my belly feeling the baby moving all around. He got kicked a few times as well. Baby decided to hiccup, so he asked me what that was. When I told him, he thought that was pretty cool, as he had never felt it before.
I have another doctor's appointment in a couple of weeks, which will be for my final ultrasound before this guy arrives. I'm quite anxious to see how big he thinks this baby is going to be. I feel quite big and I have a feeling he's not going to be a tiny baby. Dylan was my biggest and he was only 6 pounds.
Also, my kiddos will be starting first grade very soon. We will be attending the school open house on the start of my 34th week and then they start the following Monday. I can't believe they are growing up so quickly. Where does the time go?
Until next time . . . hugs and belly rubs!
