Week 16
~ The Wait is Over

I could not sleep the night before the sonogram because I was so anxious to find out what we were having. I had about five different dreams that I was having a boy. So when I woke up I was wondering if I had these dreams for a reason. I woke Allie up and told her that we were going to mommy's doctor today to see the baby. Brooke and I had talk to Allie over the weekend about what was going to happen. She was super excited. I asked her if she wanted a brother or a sister. Allie's response "is a sister a girl?" that's what I want she would then say. Super cute.

So here we are in the sonogram room. I am lying on the bed and the baby pops up on the T.V. Allie did not know what to think. We could see the little feet, the body, and the head and then the lady said, "Okay Allie come here and let me tell you what you are having." Allie walked back over to me and Brooke with a HUGE grin on her faced and said Baby Sister!!!!!!! It brought tears to my eyes. It was the sweetest thing ever. It was priceless. I wish I had had a video camera. So we are having another little girl!!!

Then I went to see the doctor for my visit and got some not bad news, but not good news. I have Placentia previa. As I understand, this is when the placenta is covering the cervix instead of up higher in the uterus. I could have random bleeding throughout the pregnancy. The bigger I get the more I could bleed. The Doctor told me that this could be a problem with the delivery, since I will be having a repeat section. I will have another sonogram at 28 weeks to see if the placenta has moved to the top. I am praying this will happened. I have been restricted to no sex at all! I will say Brooke took it like a trooper. He is good!! I will definitely keep you updated about this!!
