I thought I would wait and combine two journals together. It is getting down to the wire and things are starting to get busy. Brooke was at deer camp on vacation all last week, so needless to say I had a very busy week. I am trying to get things organized at work for when I am out on maternity leave. I have four weeks left of work until my leave. I will definitely be taking the full 12 weeks of maternity leave that I am offered. Depending on how things are going, I may consider working from home a little bit. We will just have to wait and see about that.
I have partially decorated the nursery. I have her bed, curtains and letters up. It is adorable. I am waiting on the furniture store to call me and tell me the dresser is in. I ordered it at Thanksgiving and it is not due to be in until January 28. I will be in the hospital if that is the case. So crossing my fingers it comes in before that. I have starting washing Allie's old baby clothes and hanging them up. It is so hard to believe that she is 3 years old.
Claire is growing!!! I can feel her everyday. She is definitely active, especially after my Little Debbie Christmas Tree snacks. Those are my favorite Christmas snacks. I just happened to be 8 months pregnant this Christmas and don't have to feel too guilty about eating so many. I am still having some upper back pain. I have been lying on a heating pad. It seems to help a little. My ankles are pretty much swollen at the end of the day. I catch myself breathing pretty loudly. Even Allie has noticed it. She said, mom quit going like this, and breathed really hard. I just told her that I couldn't help it!! I have a doctor visit this week. Sure it will just be a routine visit, nothing special. The next visit I will have sonogram. That will be exciting to see how big Claire is.
We are all very excited about Christmas this year. Allie wants to make Santa some pink cookies. She has also asked Santa for a bicycle and a Tangled Barbie doll. She asked for that after Santa had been shopping. So I have asked my sister to get the Barbie. Hope she will not be disappointed; But Santa is not tackling Toys R Us this week. The best news of all that we received this Christmas was that Markley had a scan done of her breast to see how the Chemo was working and there was no sign of cancer. It was GONE!!! Amazing, God is Good! It just makes you stop and think about what Christmas is all about. I am so blessed to have a wonderful and healthy family this year.
