~ On-line Shopping Fools
The largest store in this little town that we've recently moved to is a WalMart, so we've had to become quick experts at on-line shopping! We ordered patio furniture, furniture for the baby's room, a Roomba vacuum (to help with the vacuuming when I just don't have the time!), ink for our printer, office furniture, and a bunch of other various things that we can't find anywhere here in town. I'm a bit nervous about ordering stuff on-line that I've never actually seen, but I hope the time we've put into comparison shopping, reading reviews, and researching the items will pay off. If the experience is good, I have a feeling we'll be doing a LOT more on-line shopping over the next few years!
The first of all of our on-line orders began arriving already, one of which was our daughter's crib. So, as I began assembling her new crib, in her new room, in our new house, I had another surreal moment as I thought, "I will actually be laying her down to sleep in this crib in less than three months." It's really crazy to think that she will be here so soon… our little girl… this tiny (or not so tiny anymore) being inside my belly who loves to keep me aware of her presence at all times will be here in about 12 weeks! While I really enjoy the special connection that only we share right now, I am definitely looking forward to holding her in my arms and her being able to develop her own special bond with her daddy. But, I digress…
So, as I was finishing our daughter's crib, about an hour and a half after I began, she began kicking. Either she likes it already, or that was her way of telling me that I should keep going because we have a lot more to do before we're really settled into this house!
Until next week . . .
