Hello! My name is Loni and I am 30 years old. WOW just typing 30 makes me realize how fast time goes by. I have been an avid StorkNet reader for 6 years. I admire all the ladies who have shared their story of pregnancy and birth. It has always been a dream of mine to be a mother. I work as a Catering Sales Manager about 30 hours a week (there’s that number again) and I attend college with the intent to earn my Bachelor's Degree. I'm on the long and winding road with my education (Perhaps the Beatles can relate!). I keep telling myself "it's never too late to attend college and further my education." I think at this point it's just a personal goal of mine. We will see if I ever finish!
I've been married to my wonderful husband Sergio since last July. On our way to a vacation in Hawaii, we stopped in San Francisco where he proposed overlooking the city. All I could say was "What"! He asked again and of course I said "YES". Then he delivered the second surprise; we were to be married in Hawaii in three days. He had a wedding coordinator and they planned the entire event. All we had to do was find a dress, and for some reason that was really easy. I was treated like a princess at the resort and everyone was so friendly. So on July 7th as the sun was about to set we said our "I Do's". It was the most romantic moment in my life.
Some may ask "why get married without your family"? Well we both have been married in the past and we've done the big weddings. Needless to say, it didn't work out. But through everything we found each other and we have never looked back. We are both committed to making each and everyday a happy one. We are each other's soul mate, and I never knew it could be so wonderful. Now we can't wait to start a family. However, it's been a rough 6 months!
I have always wanted to be a mother; I just didn't know the heartbreak I would go through first. My husband and I have been on a bumpy road to conceive. But we hope in time we will become parents. I always knew I wanted to write a "pregnancy journal" on StorkNet. I just didn't know that it would first be a "trying to conceive journal". That's okay though because one day it will be a pregnancy journal.
Thank you for joining me on this journey as I write to express my feelings about starting a family. I look forward to getting to know you and welcome your comments and advice.
