I was really hoping for this pregnancy to be a not so eventful one. With all that I have going on with chasing kids, working, and tending my sister's baby, I really just need a nice, easy pregnancy. Well, this baby must have something else in mind. I woke up in middle of the night Tuesday not feeling well. I had started bleeding and was concerned. With my other three pregnancies I have always spotted a bit but this was more than I was used to.
I tried to relax but by morning I decided I better go to the ER and figure out what is going on. I tried to prepare myself for the worst, but that is very hard. My husband met me up there and they took us back and got an IV started and ran some blood tests. After a while they took me to get an ultrasound. They were able to find the baby and a heartbeat. I was very relieved. As much as I had tried to prepare myself I certainly wasn't ready to hear there was no baby.
My labs looked good and so they said to take it easy for a couple days and follow up with my doctor on Friday. My mother-in-law helped me with my kids, and I was able to get some rest. I saw my doctor yesterday and everything looked really good; he feels like I shouldn't have any more problems.
The doctor I am seeing for this pregnancy does an ultrasound at each appointment so I'm excited to see the progress each time. I will go back and see him in a month. I'm feeling very tired and nauseated but I'm hoping in the next couple weeks those will both start to wear off.
