~ Flips and Kicks
Hey ladies! I hope everyone's pregnancies are progressing well. We have finally picked a name for our little karate kid: Bristol Jessica. My husband picked the first name, and I figured I might as well let him do it seeing as we couldn't agree on anything I liked. Plus, it has some meaning behind it for him. His mom and her family are from Colorado and there is a mountain in their town called Bristol Head. His grandpa's ashes were spread on top of that mountain, and when Chris was younger he climbed that mountain. So the name works and I am just happy to have a name to call her now. I got to picked the middle name and naturally picked the name Jessica because that is my best friend's name. My best friend is my little sister, Jessy. We are about 3 years apart but have pretty much always been the closest of friends and she means more to me than just about anyone!
Bristol has been kicking and flipping and tapping a lot! The other day I was driving down the road and she whacked me in the bladder a few times. I almost wet my pants! It was very frustrating, and very uncomfortable! But what can you do?
I have to set up my appointment for my labwork this week probably. Ugh! I am not looking forward to that at all.
Atticus is amazing, as usual. Ha! He keeps me laughing and crying. It so amazes me how much you love your babies when you have them. My ma calls this the "Mother Bear" effect. So true. Sometimes I just watch Atticus, a lot of times actually, and just want to cry my eyes out because of how sweet and precious he is to me.
I am beginning to worry (just a little) about the few months after Bristol is born. I know that everything will be totally fine, and it will take a few months to get a routine down and get everyone settled. I just hope that I can spread my attention fairly enough between everyone, Bristol, Christopher, and Atticus. I hope that neither of my boys will feel abandoned or alone because of me taking care of Bristol. I know that is probably totally natural, but it is still a little worry in the back of my mind. I can't wait to meet her though! Getting to hold and snuggle a little baby again will be so absolutely wonderful! I can't wait! Meanwhile we need to get to work on her room. Luckily, we already have a room done and painted a nice sage green color, now we just have to clean out the furniture that is in it, and fill it with baby stuff. NO PRESSURE!
See you all next week! Thanks to the ladies who emailed me with different advice! I really appreciate and love reading your emails!
