~ Sales, Deals, and Yes, $2 Pants
It's week 31 and I'm sure Nubby has managed to drill a small hole in my bladder. She kicks at it all the time! I've never had to use the restroom like this in my life! I asked my doctor if Nubby was permanently causing damage to it. She said no and that all will be better after the baby comes. Sign my baby up for the next express train out of the womb! The doctor said it's possible the baby may not come at exactly 40 weeks. SHOOT! I DON'T THINK SO! I told Dr. Medicine Woman that wasn't going to work out since Nubby's lease is up at 40 weeks on February 1, 2010. After which she would be responsible for paying rent in the womb. Never mind rent! Her eviction papers are already printed up so she don't have to go home, but she can't stay here! That's that! Come at her own time, my baby toe! These medical professionals are crazy! I'll be darn if I'm going to be pregnant for 40 plus weeks! After 41, just induce me. Give me a shot, pump up my epidural, and let's let the good times roll! Because 40 plus weeks is for the birds!
Henry and I have been searching Craigslist for more baby stuff. You'd be surprised what people will toss. So far nothing yet, but we're keeping our eyes open for the good stuff. We went to K-mart last Sunday to price some items. I haven't been to a K-mart in years! You know, they still have the "Blue Light Special." LOL! Some items are cheaper than Walmart (if you can believe that). If you're in the market for a baby stroller, hit up K-Mart this week. Most travel systems are on sale for $115. Also they have a sale on baby clothes up to 18 months for $1.99 each.
If you're around 30 plus weeks then I'm sure you're pants and tops are in need of Velcro patches. Mommy and I found some really good stuff on sale at Motherhood Maternity. The stores don't have much for Plus Size Beauty Queens, but online you can find deals out of this world. Also note that JCPenneys has a plus size maternity line as well for good prices. The pants are a strange fit if you are well-endowed in the bum section though. I have one pair of jeans and dress slacks for work. I've noticed they like to ride further down my hips than what is comfortable. For the most part, they get the job done and they look good doing it. My tops are mostly from the clearance racks at Marshalls and Dress Barn Woman. Since pregnancy is only nine months there's no point in going crazy and purchasing a full wardrobe. From 4-6 months, I was able to get away with wearing a pair of 3X pants that had a naturally fuller hip area for $2 at Marshalls!!! Amazing right?! Can't get any better than $2! If you need a dress for a special occasion, check out Old Navy's Plus Size Section online. Amazing deals! Also Destination Maternity has the cutest dresses for $10! AWESOME! Need a coat? This one is pricey, but worth it if your due date is late winter and you live in sub zero climate. Try Romans online. They have really cute coats on sale for $99 and up. Having a warm coat is worth the money, honey. I'm from Detroit. I know cold, so you can trust me on this.
