Well, my prayers for calm and less snow got lost in transport! We had an ice storm at the beginning of the week and ended it with about 18 inches of snow!!! I don't know that I've ever wanted to see Spring so badly! To make things interesting my two little guys had croup and Todd was home for three days with the flu. I also spoke for my MOPS group this week and putting that together took a chunk of time. My in-laws are coming next week and pretty much I've had zero free time to get the house as clean as I'd like for their stay. I'm nine months pregnant and I know they don't expect it to be spotless but it's still stressing me out a bit. I did have the chance to do a much needed scrubbing in our bathroom and bedroom and got caught up on the laundry . . . thanks to being snowed in! See, I'm trying to look at it as a blessing in disguise
Everything was as it should be at my OB visit! My fluid level has been very consistent and this week I think it was 11.2. The nurse who did my NST said it was picture perfect and I endured that first cervical check. He said I was nice and soft and a fingertip dilated. That sounded right on track for 37 weeks to me. I'm hoping for slow progress this week so there's no need for Todd to hesitate about going on his work trip. I know it sounds kind of crazy and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't adding a tiny element of anxiety here at the end but I really want him to be able to go and enjoy some time away (not to mention warmer weather). His parents are going to be here to help me so it's not that I'm braving it alone. We both would be just devastated if he missed the birth and we know that it's a possibility. However, I have never gone into labor on my own or made it past two centimeters before being induced. We'll just be praying hard that she will stay put for at least one more week.
I can't believe I only have one more weekly entry before our birth story!!! Have a great week!
