Week Seventeen ~ Feeling Movement! I've been feeling the baby move! The first time was on New Year's Day. I think he/she was telling us "Happy New Year!". I'm starting to feel the movements pretty regularly, and I just love it! ADVERTISEMENT I had my ultrasound yesterday. I wanted to wait to write until I got the results. I didn't realize that all I had to do was go to the hospital and ask for a written copy. I thought I had to wait for the OB to call. Anyway, I'm happy to report that all is well! My first ultrasound report in November stated that I had too much amniotic fluid - false alarm! Whew! Today's report says everything appears normal! They estimate my due date to be June 9, according to their measurements. I'm not going to get too excited about that though. It was the same with Chaynee; she was big, and she still came on her due date. My friend, who is a nurse at an OB's office, told me that I shouldn't have the Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) test that I was planning for next week. She said they get too many false alarms and that I should just have faith. Since my ultrasound seems to be fine, I may just listen to her advice. I have a few more days to decide, but I'm leaning towards not doing it. I've got to give you a toilet paper update! Some of my friends don't think I look as big as I did with Chaynee, but I'm almost exactly the same! Maybe they are just remembering me at 9 months, HUGE! Ha Ha . . . Okay, here it is ~ 8.5 sheets!
