Week Thirty-nine
This will be my last entry until the baby arrives! So, my next one might be a little delayed . . . be patient, I will send a picture of our new baby as soon as I'm home and 'functioning'.
Anyway, she went ahead and did the exam and said, "Oh, you are already dilated 4 cm and you are 50% effaced! I don't think you'll make it to your due date." She went on to say that she expected me to have the baby within the next two days. Okay! Now, we're talking! She also said (changing her mind from what she had said earlier) that if I hadn't delivered by my next appointment (which is Monday) they will 'help me along'. She said they didn't want me walking around 4 cm dilated. HURRAY! And I have directions to go to the hospital as soon as my contractions are 10 minutes apart because they think this baby is going to come quickly once it decides to come. This is SUPER!
So, I'm suppose to take it easy ~ no problem ~ and wait!
The great thing about this is that I haven't really felt any 'pain' at all. Uncomfortable at times, but to be at 4 cm and not be miserable is wonderful! If I were in the hospital they would be offering me meds by now! Ha ha
I'll let you know as soon as our little T.O. or J.B. arrives!
