Week Twenty-Six
~ Finding a Balance

I'm finding that my nesting urges are competing with my common sense to take it easy. I have started tearing apart closets, etc. I've been sorting photos and now have a Wedding Album and a family album. I'm still working on the kids' photo books and scrap books but I've pretty much gotten the pictures in order. I know there are going to be some really happy family members since I have quite a few photos to send out. I brought a small book shelf down stairs and put the "piles" from the end tables on it. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I've got the babies' dresser filled with girl clothes (boy clothes are still accessible though). Despite all this, our room looks terrible. I still have a lot to do.

On the other side of the scale, my hands fall asleep when I bend my arms (if I'm laying down) and when I'm writing, peeling potatoes, etc. If I go for walks, my "floating" pelvic joints cause me grief. Trying to sleep is getting difficult . . . I could go on and on. I'm really enjoying feeling the babies move though. I can feel little arms and legs. It feels less like two balls bouncing off the walls and more like coordinated movement even with their quarters getting cramped.

I had a nice surprise this week. My sister-in-law sent me a package. I thought it was a gift for Sam since he just had his birthday but when I opened it I discovered a pair of maternity pants and a shirt and they fit! Besides that, she has really great taste. I almost cried when I opened it up. Thanks a million Linda!

Our business has seemed overwhelming lately. There just seems to be so much that always needs to be done.

I got another stove. It was given to us. I wasn't thrilled with the looks of it but the oven works and I've been catching up on some good home cooking.

We got about 6" of snow in one day this week. The boys had a great time playing in it.

A friend of mine from church told us that she wants to get married on December 11. It should be interesting. We have a meeting for Tuesday. I put together a 15 page "guide" of everything I could think of that they might need to do. I left a lot of spaces for them to fill in all the stuff I forgot. It brought back some good memories. Since then I've been working on her invitations. They only have a few weeks, and I think she calls me at least once a day. We're all thrilled for them and will help in any way we can. It should be quite the ride, and I'm glad for a little bit of distraction.

I didn't weigh myself this week because I'm going to see Dr. R. on Monday. Good news this week, no more contractions!
