Well that darn cold I was battling turned out to be bronchitis. I have never had bronchitis before and I hope I don't have it ever again. Sunday I was still battling that darn cold, and I went to my grandparents' for lunch. After lunch I went home around 3pm and decided that I really needed some rest, but I wasn't able to sleep. I stayed in bed and just rested until Robert got home from work, we watched the NBA basketball game, and then he left to go back to work to finish up a few things at the shop. I was up until 5am coughing (hacking is probably more accurate!), and at 5am I finally fell asleep, then my alarm went off at 7. For a pregnant woman that doesn't feel rested unless she gets 9-10 hours of sleep, two hours was not sufficient enough.
Before work I went into the fastcare clinic in town; it's a clinic that you can go to for simple things like the flu a cold, etc. It's super convenient because you don't need an appointment and it is super fast! The doctor said I had bronchitis, and he prescribed an antibiotic and a cough medicine with codeine to help me sleep. Monday night I tried the cough medicine, and it didn't do a darn thing to help with the hacking or the sleeping! I got about four hours of sleep Monday night. Finally Tuesday I went and bought an over the counter cough syrup (that is okay to have when pregnant) and some sleeping pills (again okay to have when pregnant) and was finally able to sleep the whole night. The two worst parts of the bronchitis for me was the lack of sleep and the pain in my stomach when coughing! Thankfully I am starting to get over it and feeling better.
On another note I finally was able to get the keys for our rental. It wasn't up to my standard of clean so I called my cleaning lady. She is going to start it tonight and finish up by tomorrow so that when the movers come on Saturday the house will be clean and she won't have to go around the furniture. I have started moving some of the smaller stuff, boxes of things we won't need and clothes so that we will have less to move after the actual furniture gets moved in. I had to turn off the cable/internet at home today so that they could get it hooked up at the rental place tomorrow. I was thinking that Robert would rather have the cable/internet working at the rental over the weekend. Silly me, I forgot that the NBA final game was going to be on Thursday night, and without cable at home we had to come up with another option. We decided that BWW boneless wings and a basketball game would go good together!! So in the end it worked out great, I don't have to worry about cooking anything and he still gets to see his game.
The baby is still doing well; she must be getting bigger because I can tell my stomach is expanding out! I haven't gained any weight in the last few weeks, but I can tell when I try on some clothes and I am also starting to feel it in my back. I am excited for next week's appointment to see how I am progressing; I can make a pretty safe bet and say that I am measuring ahead! Haha, oh well, as long as we are both healthy that is all that matters!!
