~ The End Is in Sight!
Our doctor appointment went well. Everything is on track; I only measured one week ahead and my weight was okay too! I was happy about that. Now we start having doctor appointments every two weeks, and I find that so incredibly exciting because it finally feels like the end is in sight! It won't be long and our little girl will be here! Our next appointment happens to be when Robert will be in Canada fishing with my dad, so I get to go to that one alone. That trip also happens to fall on our first birthing class, so I will be going to the first one alone, but the other three my husband will be around and is super excited (not really! Haha) to attend with me.
Last week we had the big move. I have everything on the main level put away. The only thing that we have left to do is set the crib back up. The basement is a different story! I have boxes everywhere, but since we don't need that space for now, I can work on that slowly. We still have some stuff in the garage at the old house; I am hoping we can get that out this weekend so I don't have to think about it anymore. I also have to go in and clean our bathroom in the old house, but my mom was gracious enough to clean the rest of the house (I told her she couldn't clean our bathroom, after all who wants to clean someone else's bathroom, gross) so there isn't much left to do.
Also, in last week's journal I mentioned that we were going to BWW to have wings and watch the final NBA basketball game. Well we ended up going but we were having storms in the area that night, the power went off at half time, so we went down to the shop to watch the rest of the game. The next morning we found out that there was a tornado that hit and devastated many houses right behind BWW where we were that night. It was really incredible that nobody got hurt. The whole time we were just sitting there eating and watching the game thinking it was just a really strong thunder storm.
We also found another property this week; I put an offer in on it yesterday. It is an acreage close to the town we work in, and it has an old house on it that would need to be torn down along with a bunch of outbuildings that would need to be torn down as well. It would be a bigger project, but it would be worth it in the end we think. After all the old buildings were removed then we would begin construction on a new house. I should have an update next week on whether or not they accept our offer!
This weekend is going to be busy, busy. I think I am going to skip my lunch time nap today and head over to the old house to get the bathroom cleaned so that I can cross that off the list!
