Week 24--it sounds unreal. I'm still so thankful that I have made it this far.
This week I went to my OB. The visit consists strictly of blood pressure, weight (which is about to make me cry) and the doctor listens to baby's heartbeat. That's it. Yep, that's it. This visit I had to do more things. I went down to cardiology to get signed up for a heart rate monitor and an appointment with the cardiologist. My OB put in the consult over a month ago so that's why she made me go down. I also had to get blood taken to check my thyroid. I've had it checked before so I'm sure it's fine. My weight gain is because little man is wanting nothing but sugar and junk food and I'm somehow exhausted and with all that's been going on, I have been lacking walks. This week I'm back in the game and getting my booty out walking!
So Wednesday I went to the big hospital for my second level 2 ultrasound. They wanted to see his heart a bit more this time and they were able to see it all . . . and all looks well. And yes, I saw his goods twice, so I know it's a boy. YAY!
Thursday I went to get hooked up on the monitor which was awkward. They put the monitor over bra so I was stuck. Then I was informed not to shower or bathe. Um . . . yeah . . . ok! That night we went to the Tosh.0 tour . . . SO MUCH FUN! Of course with all the fun I had and stuff I did, I never once had an episode of my heart racing, of course! It's like taking your car to the mechanic or your sick child to the doc--suddenly everything is fine. LOL But I'll see the cardiologist on the 29th so I'll know more of what they did see.
I couldn't sleep for NOTHING with that thing on! Ugh . . . I hadn't slept all week anyway thanks to the growing belly and lower back pain, but this monitor was itchy and the tape was pinching. Sheesh!
Friday I got it all removed and felt FREE!! I volunteered at my daughter's school afterward and had a blast doing so. We made cute bat t-shirts with the kids' hands. It was so adorable.
Well, I hope you all are doing great. Enjoy your beautiful Fall weather. Take care!
