Week 37
~ Early Would Be Nice . . .

My appointment this week went well, though my blood pressure was a little high. It was 144/78. They had me lay on my left side for about 10 minutes and it went down to 124/78. There was no protein in my urine so they weren't worried. They will just keep an eye on it. Of course I have to watch for extreme swelling, blurred vision, nausea, etc. Everything else looked good. I hadn't gained any weight, Michael's heartbeat was 168 (he was exceptionally active at this doctor's visit) and my uterus is measuring perfect.

The weather where we live has been hot for this time of year, actually breaking a couple of records! I'm already missing the winter. I need to remember to never carry a baby through the summer. I barely made it through winter, the summer would kill me! I definitely have a new respect for all pregnant women who carry their babies through the summer months. This weekend the weather is supposed to cool down some and it can't come fast enough!

I'm still hoping that Michael will make an early appearance. As uncomfortable as I thought I was last month, nothing can compare to how uncomfortable I am now. And I do mean nothing! I have a feeling that he'll probably come late though . . . just to show Mommy that he can! I have enjoyed some aspects of being pregnant, but I do look forward to the days when I don't have to pee every 5 seconds and can get out of a chair without having to be hauled out!

Jamie has been working like crazy with 7am-7pm shifts 5 days a week. He told them he wanted to work all they would work him up until the baby came and then he would have to go to weekends and one week night only. He enjoys the work and is happy about getting extra money for baby expenses! My boss has told me to start leaving at 2pm instead of 4pm. He is such an amazing boss and I love working for him. The official countdown in days has now started!
