Week 9
~ The Weekend of the Last Wedding

Over the past year, my husband and I have been to over 10 weddings. It's been a bit ridiculous. This past weekend marks the last wedding we have to attend this year. We were in the wedding, and I'm glad it was this weekend, because next weekend I probably would not have fit in the bridesmaid dress! I'm already showing and having to buy stretchy pants to wear. The shirts should last a little bit longer.

Friday on my way home from work I rear-ended another car. The damage wasn't bad and the air bags didn't go off. I wasn't going very fast, so it scared me more than anything. My first car accident, and of course it has to be while I'm pregnant! I called the doctor and described the situation, and they said to watch out for bleeding, cramping, back pain, etc. and to go to the emergency room if I had any of those symptoms.

So far, so good. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday so that will make me feel better to be checked out. I've still been tired, but the morning sickness has lightened some. Certain smells still make me queasy and car rides longer than 40 minutes don't do well either.

My sister-in-law Amy is still due November 20th and her brother's wife and I are getting together to plan her baby shower at the beginning of next month. I hoped that I would be able to settle down and rest, but it doesn't look like that's going to be able to happen any time soon! This coming weekend I'm going with my mother-in-law to a book show, the next weekend my grandmother wants to take me to dinner, the weekend of the 10th is Amy's shower, the 17th is another shower for Amy, my husband goes out of town for the weekend of the 24th and Halloween is the final weekend in October.

If I can just make it past the holidays, hopefully next year I will be able to rest . . . maybe!
