Week 18
~ Less than a Week Away!!

In less than one week we get to find out if we are having a boy or girl! I'm so excited I can barely stand it!! As slow as I thought these past few weeks would progress, they have flown by. With Michael the pregnancy drug on and on, but with this little one it is going to be gone in the blink of an eye. I guess with having a toddler to occupy my time is helping the pregnancy to pass by more quickly than I could have imagined!

We went to my dad's house this past weekend and Michael LOVES being there! My dad has three chickens that are so docile that you can hold them in your lap . . . not that you would want to since you would get chicken mess all over you! Michael got to pet the chickens and then chase them around. He had a blast! Then my dad took him for a ride on the lawn mower and Michael got to drive it! He loved holding on the steering wheel and wasn't afraid of the noise at all.

It makes my dad happy to be able to do things with Michael and to have him run away from Mommy and Daddy to go to Grandpa! It's not hard to figure out; it is because Grandpa lets him drink sweet tea from his cup when he thinks Mommy and Daddy aren't looking! That's what grandparents are for - to spoil your child and give him back for you to deal with!

I sometimes wonder how Jamie and I will be able to handle two kids at once. I know parents do it all the time, but it seems like it is going to be a hectic three or four years to come! I know Michael is going to get jealous of the new baby, and it's going to be a rough couple of weeks starting off. I know I've mentioned it before, but I am really not looking forward to getting up all hours of the night again.

Next week's journal will be the big reveal . . . BOY or GIRL!

Until next week,
~ Sarah
