It has been an incredibly busy week this week! In one of my nesting fits I decided that I needed to have drawers, open shelving and a window seat put in our bedroom. Our room is large and had no character so I wanted it to have more character and have more useful space. Matt's father's family used to own a cabinet company and so we enlisted him to help. In the end the built-in looks amazing, we have more storage space but I have been incredibly busy trying to clean up and get the room put back together. I decided that I wanted to whole unit to be white. (That may have been a mistake!!) I've used a gallon of paint so far and it looks like I will need at least another couple coats of paint. I tend to do this stuff to myself and then I wonder why I'm so tired all the time.
Friends of ours host a very fun, very large Halloween party each year and we had a great time there this year. Matt was Frankenstein and I was the Bride of Frankenstein. I wanted to do something original while being pregnant. We had such a fun time and it works out for me to be the designated driver so everyone was able to have a good time.
We had a lot of fun on Halloween with all the neighborhood kids. Unfortunately, our neighborhood isn't great for trick or treating - everyone has kids so they go out. It makes for a lot of dark houses and a lot of walking for not a lot of fun. Especially with our group of friends having kids in the 3-5 year old range. They just can't walk that far. We may have to seek out a new street to try next year.
I could definitely tell I was pregnant on Halloween. After walking a few blocks I felt like she was pushing down on me and pushing my hips apart. I was sore on Thursday! It wasn't any further than I normally walk in a day, it must have just been her position.
The baby is getting more and more active. I feel her the most while I sit at my desk. I try to sit up pretty straight and I think that she gets a bit squished in that position. It will be interesting to see what happens in another few months when she is much bigger.
