Hello! My name is Suzy and I am 25 years old. I been married to my wonderful husband. Paulie. for almost three years now and together we have a two year old son Ethan. We are expecting our second baby in September. Paulie and I were both born in New Jersey and this is where we plan on staying to raise our family. Being a mother and a wife are the best things that have ever happened to me. I still can't believe that I am pregnant again and can't wait to meet our new little one! My husband and I both work. I work part time at a hospital an hour away from my house as a cardiology tech and Paulie works full time for the government. We both really enjoy our jobs and can't really complain. Life has been good to us!!
My pregnancy with Ethan was pretty easy. It was a surprise pregnancy. We had just gotten back from our honeymoon and were settling into married life and adjusting to our new place when we were surprised to learn I was pregnant. I couldn't believe it! I was excited, nervous, in shock, etc. but mostly excited!! I couldn't believe that I was going to have a baby. I had dreamed of this day for so long and i couldn't believe it was happening. For the first three months I was sick all day long and threw up almost everyday. Once I hit thirteen weeks I felt like a completely different person and the rest of my pregnancy was really good.
I was due to give birth on February 26, 2008. The 26th came and went. After a week and a half past my due date my doctor decided it was time to induce me. I went into the hospital on March 3rd at 3:00pm. After a very long 28 hours and only dilating to four centimeters, my doctors decided it was time for an emergency c-section. Ethan's heart rate started to drop and we later found out that he had the cord wrapped around his neck. At 5:50pm on March 4, 2008 we welcomed Ethan Paul into our lives. I still remember that first cry and my heart melted. It was such an amazing feeling when I looked into his eyes for the first time. It was the best feeling ever! I can't believe that was two years ago. I have enjoyed watching Ethan grow in the past two years and it's amazing some of the things they do.
Paulie has been an amazing father; he is so good with Ethan. Watching the two of them together is one of the greatest things I see. This pregnancy was planned and when Ethan turned a year old we decided I would go off birth control. After almost a year of trying I got a positive pregnancy test on January 19th. Even though we were planning this pregnancy I was still in shock and couldn't believe that I was going to have another baby. I couldn't be any happier. I am so looking forward to having another little one running around this house.
I want to thank everyone for taking the time out to read my journal, and I want to thank Maribeth for giving me this great opportunity (ed. note: You're very welcome Suzy ). I have been a StorkNet reader ever since finding out I was pregnant with Ethan back in June 2007. I always told myself that the next time I was pregnant I was going to apply. When I got the email a week letter accepting me to write a journal I was beyond excited and I am extremely grateful for being chosen.
