This week I have been thinking about things to do during my last trimester. I'll have to pack my bag for the hospital, get baby an outfit to come home in, decide whether or not to breast feed, decide how much time to take off from work for maternity leave, and other adjustments for the baby once she is born. Time flies too fast nowadays--to much to do and not enough time to do it.
I know physically I'll be more limited to what I can do each day so I guess this would be a good time make my list of what will need to done and any purchases we need to make. This time around I feel it is somewhat easier and that I have a better idea of what to expect since I have gone through this before. I can re-think things differently from the first pregnancy and better plan my maternity leave time off. I know that I can't wait too long to make certain decisions like I did before.
I have also been doing more reading lately. I have various baby development, pregnancy, and breastfeeding materials more than what I can do with. It is great information and though this is my second pregnancy it is good to be refreshed on a lot of things like nutrition, exercise, etc. There's always something new to learn and I think that's what keeps me reading all the materials and doing additional research.
Other than that I have been trying to take it easy. I do get tired pretty quick and still have issues trying to eat when I'm not hungry and/or with nausea. I have really weak headaches every now and then. I haven't had any swelling yet with the exception of maybe rotating my rings on my fingers to make them more comfy. Baby has been doing fine; she seems to get excited when she hears her brother playing and her father talking. They get a kick out of seeing my stomach move when she squirms and kicks. She has some strong moves and tries stretching sometimes which feels really weird. It feels funny to feel her move around while having a contraction. I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions for a good 8 or 9 weeks. I think my uterus is literally working toward having this baby ASAP. I know I wasn't having those kind of contractions that early during my first pregnancy.
Now I can start looking into buying those cute dresses and little girl accessories I've been seeing. I just hope I don't go broke.
