~ Ultrasound Excitement
Today we went to the doc to get our "official" ultrasound. We've had 3 already but 2 of them were done by a friend that was an OB for about 20 years. The other was done at 11 weeks by my mother-in-law. To our joyous surprise, the ultrasound tech decided to take just a "few" 3-D images for us to see as well. Some of them are a little clearer than others but I've included captions to explain everything. It was so exciting to sit there and see little Hannah and her cute little face. So far, she looks just like daddy (nose, lips) but she appears to have my big eyes. We had a time keeping her hands and feet out from in front of her face long enough to get a good front view. According to the tech, everything from her perspective looks healthy and normal. She did say that judging by the baby's size, her due date may be about a week later than planned. Currently she's due June 7. However, according to her, the fact that James and I are both "small people" means she just might be a small baby. We'll see. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we have already!
This week was quite busy. I guess that's become the norm around here though. Work and school have both been busy. I worked Valentine's Day (again, I'm a waitress) but didn't make much money. For those of you that may be unsure of what to tip your servers, tip at least between 15-20% of your total bill. I make $2.13 an hour and most all of that goes straight to the government for taxes. It's very tough to make a living when someone thinks a $5 tip is good on a $50 bill. Most of us don't get to keep all of the tips either. I typically have 1-3 people per night I have to tip out (bartenders, food runners, server assistants). Whew . . . okay . . . sorry, I'll step off of my soapbox now.
So I really don't have much to say this week. There haven't been many new things going on other than the continued busyness. It'll be a busy weekend with our church valentine's dinner tomorrow night and my husband's birthday Sunday. Otherwise, I'm just trying to stay on top of my schoolwork, enjoying the frequent kicks of our little girl in the meantime.
Until next time . . .
