First, I want to thank all of the wonderful ladies that took the time to respond to my last journal regarding breastfeeding and labor drugs. I really appreciate all of the encouraging advice - exactly what I needed!
Last night, James and I went to our first "pregnancy class" at the hospital. It was about Labor and Delivery and was very informative. Though I've read much of the information before in books and online, it was nice to have it condensed and understandable in a two hour class. I couldn't help but look at all the pregnant bellies around the room (probably around 25 or so) and wonder how much longer everyone had. I can't believe I'm down to 10 weeks (at least till her due date)! Wow! The class also reminded me of how many ladies are pregnant at any given time. Sometimes it's tempting to think I'm the only one around here. Now it seems like I see baby bumps everywhere . . .
I have another OB appointment this week and then they'll begin to be every two weeks. I wonder what interesting news I'll get this week. Will they insist on another ultrasound to make sure the baby's still growing big? Look at the picture of me . . . I can tell them she is! I can feel her! Though I love ultrasounds, my pocketbook doesn't like them so much.
My mom is coming up Sunday to help with the nursery. She's incredibly handy and creative when it comes to home decorating. I have a pastel theme from a Better Homes and Gardens book that she is going to duplicate. I don't get to see her often because we live far apart so it'll be a blessing to have her here for a few days. The only downside is that I have my first big paper due Thursday. I'll have to be working on it while she is here unfortunately.
Next Friday is my last day at my job. I'll be 31 weeks and waitressing is just wearing hard on me, on top of my school schedule. I look very forward to not working for a while.
Overall, my health has been great. I've had a great deal of energy - praise God - in comparison to what I could have right now. My pregnancy wedge pillow is still doing a great job. My back still hurts but not as bad as it did beforehand. I've been getting a bit queasy again at night but nothing unbearable. I can't complain!
Until next time . . .
