~ About Half-Way There!
I can hardly believe that I'm half-way to seeing those precious babies! Although it does seem like I've been pregnant forever. Larry will agree with me on that one. I'm not sleeping well, thanks to back pain and having to get up 3-4 times a night to empty my bladder. With me tossing and turning, Larry isn't getting a restful night either (poor thing!). It may not be long before he'll move himself into our other bedroom. I may sleep better that way too.
The weather here has been great. Very mild for fall. This time of year I'm usually planting spring flowers or cleaning up my flower beds for the winter. I'd love to be able to do some this year, but I don't think it's the best idea to be bent over planting for hours. My back hurts just thinking about it! Instead, I take my lawn chair outside to get some sun and read for a while or work on a cross-stitch project. I'm making this really cute birth announcement sampler for my nephew and his wife. Their baby girl, Kaitlyn, arrived on the 25th of October. I'm almost finished and will be able to give it to them when we go to Virginia in a few weeks.
We're having Thanksgiving at my parents' house with the entire family ~ three brothers, two sisters, nephews, niece, and assorted other characters. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. My mom and younger sister Pam have planned my first baby shower for the same day. We'll have to carry everything back with us if we have the room in my car, or plan on shipping some items.
I think Larry and I have come up with some names. Larry really wants to name our son after his deceased grandfather. His name was James Cecil. I think we have compromised. We both seem to like Jacob (nickname Jake). So, we're thinking about Jacob Cecil Edmonds. I'm not crazy about the name Cecil, but I had the honor of knowing his grandfather for a short time. He was a wonderful person. I'd be pleased if our son turned out as great as his namesake. For our daughter, we're still undecided. I still like Sarah and Larry likes Holly. I also like Emily. The tough part is the middle names to go with these. I guess we'll find one for her eventually.
