Week Twenty-One
~ Preparing For Vacation

This week we've been preparing for our trip. I'm so excited to be going home for a visit. I'm looking forward to seeing my family and friends. We're having my first baby shower while we're there. I guess it will start feeling more real then. Why it still doesn't seem real is a mystery. I'm definitely showing now. I guess because we've wanted this for so long that it hard to believe that we have been blessed times two.

I think I've gained about five pounds so far. I'll find out for sure when I go to the doctor tomorrow (Friday). He has to give me his approval for our trip. I don't appear to be having any complications, so I hoping it will be okay. He'll be rechecking my cervix again. What fun that is! This vacation will probably do more good than harm. The most strenuous thing I'll probably be doing will be shopping for baby things. Otherwise, it will be mostly resting, catching up with everyone, eating, and probably more eating.

Last night Larry and I decided that I'm probably not eating as much as I should be right now. We were reading a book about twin pregnancies and how I should be eating. I still don't feel like eating a lot. I'm going to talk it over with the doctor. In the meantime, I will try to start eating more often ~ more veggies and fruit.

I'm feeling the babies move more often these days. Still not defined kicks, mostly just movements. I guess the kicking will start soon enough. I've been sleeping pretty well the last few days with only one trip to empty my bladder a night. I've found that by sleeping on my left side that I get muscle spasms in my back that don't seem to go away for hours. This makes it impossible to sleep. So, I've had to start sleeping on my right side. I sleep very well that way. For now anyway.

I think we've found a girl's name that we both seem to agree on. We're playing with the name to see if we still like it before we decide for sure. The name is Rachel. So, Jacob and Rachel may be it. No middle name yet for Rachel. We'll have plenty of time in the car on the way to Virginia to go over the choices.

That's it for me this week. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
