~ Growing Babies!
We had our 30 week ultrasound Friday to see how much our little ones have grown. I don't much care for the ultrasound tech who did our sonogram, but at least we did get to see them moving around and active. The tech that we've had for the last three ultrasounds has been more concerned about telling us about her own pregnancy than showing and telling us about ours. Plus, she made us wait 30 minutes when we were the first appointment after lunch. Needless to say, we were a little aggravated when we our ultrasound was over. We did find out that they both weigh approximately 3 pounds 3 ounces. My, how they have grown! They look more like babies now. I guess because they are so much bigger.
I'm adapting pretty well to bedrest. I think I've seen every talk show, soap opera and recent movie. I am getting out a little now. Dr. H said I could do a little more activity. Larry and I have been out to dinner a few times and today (Sunday) it was so pretty outside that we got in the car and just drove around. It was great to be out of the house. I'm still not doing much around the house. A little laundry here and there. Larry has been really great about taking over. At first I felt guilty about him doing all of "my work." But, I realized I'm not the only one responsible for getting things done around here. Might even be good for him to realize all that I do and all that needs to be done. I guess we have both been troopers about this. We have the same ultimate goal ~ healthy babies!
Our baby shower was last weekend. We received lots of great gifts. It was mostly Larry's family and a few friends from my work. We're about as prepared as we can be for Rachel and Jacob's arrival. We still just need to know what to do with them once they get here. I guess it will come to us.
