Week Thirty-One
~ Typical Week - YAY!

This week was a pretty typical week for me prior to the bedrest. I involved myself more in the everyday activities and I loved it. I still avoided the heavy activities and laid down for the most part of the day. I am thrilled to have reached 31 weeks; next week is our next short term goal for early delivery, then 34 weeks and then 36 when the cerclage will be removed. No perinatologist appointment this week; I go back next week on the 14th.

I still have help here, and I am feeling so spoiled. How am I going to handle all the housework, three kids and a newborn when my help is gone? Not to mention our home-based business books. But despite that, I am anxious for baby to arrive.

I am feeling the "nesting" urge BIG time now. Mostly just want little repairs done and the new carpeting installed before baby comes. I am pretty well ready for the baby, have almost all of the basics and what I don't have I hope to get at my shower on the 24th. I did get the invitations done and mailed out and my friends Nancy and Lisa are doing the shopping and planning for the shower. We sat down and planned out what games we would play; hopefully everyone will show up. It looks like this will be a lot of fun!

The baby is having hiccups a few times a day. He's still moving and squirming around but the kicks have become less strong. I think he has run out of room to get a good kick out. About now, he should be close to or at 4 pounds. I am guessing that this will be a 6 to 6 1/2 pound baby if born at 36 weeks. My older boys were all three weeks early and were seven to almost the eight pound range.
