~ Meet Vivian
Greetings everybody! I should be an old pro to this journaling thing as I did it for my daughter, Kylin Noelle, who was born May 7, 2005. Now she's a bustling 16 month old and we've decided to make another go of the parenting thing. Let me introduce us. My husband Mychal and I are veteran parents now *not, LOL*. When Kylin was born, I stayed home for 10 months and then decided to go back to work. I work as a psychotherapist and my husband is an engineer. Both of us knew that the second go round would be a challange but we decided we wanted to get it out of the way sooner than later.
Here's the link to my old journal and reading back I see that some things didn't change. I'm 7 weeks pregnant now and the morning sickness is outrageous. I moved from the stage of sweeping nausea to full on vomiting. This morning I was late to work with a particularly violent spat. I sometimes wonder what I've done to the MS gods for them to be so tough on me! But honestly, if the baby is healthy, I'll wade through whatever I need to do. With this second pregnancy, I'm definitely showing more, but that could the the extra 25 lbs I never lost from Kylin. I'm working now on eating intuitively and I have actually lost 3 lbs since getting pregnant although eating many meals throughout the day and never being hungry.
Kylin is taking well to the new baby, well, she doesn't really get the concept yet but I think some of her reverting (lack of sleep, wanting to nurse, needing "mama" only) is some sort of natural response to the new life growing. Either way, two will be challenging but I hope as rewarding as Kylin has been.
So that's us in a nutshell! Chaos inviting chaos but loving each minute! Welcome to my journal of the 2nd Go 'Round!
